Demian is a professional photographer living on the big island of Hawaii. He got his first camera from at the age of 7 and has been taking photos ever since. Demian is adamant about “the one shot rule” as his introduction to photography was with film. He has traveled many scenic and archaeological places around the world including Machu Picchu, Copán, Tikal, Chiche Itza, and Hawaii (to name a few) taking photos on slide film. A lava junkie, Demian coined the term and became known during the recent eruption as ‘The Lava Chaser’. He has been documenting the island of Hawaii since 1999, and capturing the various eruptions in remote locations around the island.
